Taipei Monolith / 2018 / 400x110x130cm / Temporary installation in Treasure Hill Artist Village (03.02 – 03.18)

////   Taipei Monolith is a reproduction of a staircase made of concrete blocs and surrounded by mosaic tiles. It’s a common element of modern architecture in Taipei City (1960-1980), which is a very impressive vertical construction when we extract it from the rest of the building.

Installed on one of the upper terrace, Taipei Monolith is like a stage set facing the city, reproducing only a surface that can appear like a real enigmatic construction on most of the pictures of the village.
